# ACC Services Pipeline Migration - Complete Summary

**Date**: 2026-03-05
**Migration Type**: CI/CD Pipeline Migration (Existing → CircleCI)
**Services**: 33 ACC services (all currently running)
**Objective**: Zero-downtime migration to CircleCI

## Executive Summary

All 33 ACC (Accommodations) services are currently deployed and running in production via an existing CI/CD pipeline. This project migrates the CI/CD automation from the current system to CircleCI while maintaining service availability.

## Current State

### ✅ What's Already Working

1. **Services Running**: All 33 services deployed in Kubernetes (redtag namespace)
2. **Infrastructure**: Values files, secrets, and Kubernetes configs exist in tbi-environments
3. **Deployments**: Services deploying via existing (non-CircleCI) pipeline
4. **Documentation**: Service inventory at `/Users/iakpabio/Desktop/git-code/tbi-code/tbi-environments/docs/tbi-acc-services-inventory.md`

### 🎯 Migration Goal

Create CircleCI pipelines in `tbi-devops-environments` that:
- Build Docker images
- Push to ECR
- Deploy to Kubernetes using Helm
- Support multiple environments (dev, qa, uat, prod)
- Maintain zero downtime during cutover

- Examples: tbi-acc-booking-service, tbi-acc-hotel-service

**Tier 2: Development Only** (12 services)
- Lower risk
- Good for testing migration process
- Examples: Gimmonix automation services

**Tier 3: Legacy Services** (3 services)
- Services with "-old" suffix
- Verify if still needed before migrating

### By Environment Count

- **6 environments**: 5 services (highest complexity)
- **4-5 environments**: 5 services
- **3 environments**: 10 services
- **1-2 environments**: 12 services
- **Already migrated**: 1 service (tbi-acc-hotel-mapping-service)

## Migration Workflow

### Per Service (2-3 hours)

1. **Discovery** (10-15 min)
   - Identify current pipeline

   - Copy template from tbi-acc-hotel-mapping-service
   - Customize for service
   - Update service names
   - Configure environments

3. **Test in Dev** (20-30 min)
   - Commit to tbi-devops-environments
   - Add VERSION file to service repo
   - Trigger CircleCI
   - Verify deployment

4. **Compare with Existing** (10-15 min)
   - Validate functionality
   - Compare image tags
   - Check for differences
   - Document findings

5. **Rollout to Other Envs** (15-20 min per env)
   - QA environment
   - UAT environment
   - Production environment

6. **Cutover** (15-20 min)
   - Disable old pipeline
   - Update documentation
   - Monitor for issues

## Timeline Estimate
